This morning my mom read in the local newspaper that Amazon cut the price on it’s 6″ Kindle from $359 to $299. Well, lucky me, I bought a Kindle 8 days ago at the $359 price point. So I called Amazon’s customer service this afternoon to see if I could get a $60 refund, and you know what? They gave it to me immediately. Count me as one happy Amazon customer. Now maybe I’ll go spend the $60 on books …
Heather;
I am thinking of buying a Kindle for a good friend who lives in Maseru. Can you tell me if you get service there? I can’t tell from Amazon’s info whether there is service in Lesotho.
Thanks!
Hi Rebecca – I have a friend with the international Kindle and the Whispernet does not work here. It does, however, work just over the border in Ladybrand. Mine does not have international wireless so I just download books from the Amazon website and put them manually on to my device. No problem whatsoever.
