Man, the time is going so quickly. In just over 36 hours I’ll start my 24 hour trek to Lesotho. It’s overwhelming for so many reasons. First of all the timeframe that I’ve had to get ready. I accepted the job last Thursday and then I booked my ticket for 8 days later. At this point I’m still not sure how I will get most of my stuff there. I’m waiting to get a quotation from a shipping company and just kind of planning that it will be less expensive than UPS/FedEx/DHL. *Fingers crossed.* Comparatively I don’t own that much stuff, but I am taking more than I packed for Peace Corps … Then there’s the propsect of starting a new job. And working FULL TIME. I feel like I haven’t worked a real job in *so* long. I realize that I worked 40 hours a week in Peace Corps. In an office so it will be very much like that. But this time I’ll have a lot more responsibility. I’m really excited to get started. And, finally of course, I’m going back to Africa on my own this time. It’s going to be a totally different experience. I can’t wait.
