So my car was *finally* released from prison, I mean customs, one week ago today. That was exactly 4 weeks and 1 day after I placed the order, including: one week to get the payment information, one week to process my wire transfer, one week to get it to Maseru from Durban and another week plus two days to get it out of customs. Sure I had to make at least two or three phone calls a day to keep people moving, and sure I had to go back and forth between two government agencies for the last day and a half to process my VAT and duties exemption, but man it was worth it. If the car is registered by this weekend I’m planning a trip to Bloemfontein to adopt a puppy!
