I am:
Snuggling with my animals after a two week trip to Germany for my youngest sister’s wedding. At least as much as Molly & Blossom will let me since they tend to snuggle more with each other than me.
Working on the music for Maseru Players Company’s next production – “Bat Boy: The Musical” – in GarageBand. It’s always a lot of work, but also fun for me to dink around and learn new things.
Singing in the car and to myself more than usual to rehearse for my part in Bat Boy. I’m playing Maggie the mayor and super excited about it.
Organizing the hundreds of photos from my trip. When more than one member of my family are together on a trip watch out! After an inspiring discussion with my sister at the end of our trip I also want to work more on my tagging system.
Waiting for my next trip in a couple of weeks to Kenya for a work meeting. I’m going early to visit Mombasa and learn to scuba.
Planning to buy a piano from another expat who’s selling theirs. I’m going to Leribe on Thursday (a Lesotho Independence Day) to check it out. After working on the music for Little Shop and Bat Boy I’m excited about playing the piano, for real, again.
Listening to Mumford and Sons newest album Babel. It’s the first album in a LONG time that I’ve paid full price for. Love it. My favorite song is “I Will Wait.”
Hating that I may have to move because my current landlord won’t fix the leaking roof. I really, really love my current location and can’t imagine living anywhere else in Maseru. Boo. My Estate Agent is trying to negotiate something with the landlord. I don’t understand why they would rather have NO income from a renter (long term) than use a few months of my current rent to fix it and have guaranteed income.
Loving the longer days around here. Although they never compare to summer in Utah (the latest it stays light here in summer is 7:15 maybe 7:30) I’ll take what I can get.
Anticipating some big changes ahead.
P.S. The format for this post (using all -ing words) was inspired by this challenge from Ali Edwards.
