Get It Scrapped CT: Two Part Titles/Mixing Alphas

24/07/2013 by heatherawsumb

Sharing another assignment for the Get It Scrapped Creative team. This was featured in the article “Ideas for Two Part Titles on Scrapbook Pages.” Our assignment: Make a page that incorporates two alphas/fonts for the titlework.

MixingAlphas_HAwsumb
Happy Birthday by Heather Awsumb | Supplies: Katie Pertiet: Spot Dot Brushes No 4, Vintage Milk Caps No 1, Frame Hangers No 1, Sweet Rose Bay Element Pack, Hey Missy Element Pack, Letter Box Garden Song Element Pack, Ric Rac Basics No 1, Cardstock Tabs No 3; One Little Bird Designs: These Walls Kit, Rise and Shine Kit, Stargazer Kit; Paislee Press and One Little Bird Designs: Dayplanner Kit; Allison Kreft for Websters Pages: Color and Composition Paper Pack; Websters Pages: Trendsetter Alpha; Websters Pages: Citrus Squeeze Digital Jewels; Ali Edwards: With Gratitude Brushes and Stamps; Maplebrook Studios: Noemi Kit; Mommyish: Stylin #48.

This assignment was straight up my alley because I almost always mix at least two fonts/alphas in my titles to give some visual interest since they’re almost always short and to the point. What’s not mentioned in the article is that my design is based (yet again) on a lesson from Scrapbook Coach. This is from the Piecework series. I think I’ve said it before, but man do I love those classes. I have been getting so much mileage out of them. I was super excited when a new class – Criss Cross – came out late last week. I am super busy at work so I haven’t had a chance to go through the lessons yet but I am anxious to do so.
