For my first assignment at Get It Scrapped this month I used an oversized geometric print for my background paper. Here’s the result:

To start my page I looked through all my papers tagged “Geometric” to identify what I would use for my background paper. Oversized geometric prints of all types – stripes, chevrons, dots, etc. – have been really popular in scrapbooking recently so I had a lot of choices. I really liked this black and white stripe from the Busy Week kit by One Little Bird so decided to start with that. Since the print of my background paper was so big I decided that small photos and a simple title would add interesting contrast. Also, since the paper was black and white I used bright pops of color in my embellishing and with my photo choices.
